UPDATE: For the latest information regarding our theatre operations during COVID-19 please visit this page

The Young Vic is looking for an experienced, proactive and self-motivated project manager to support our development and use of technology across the organisation.

A registered charity and theatrical powerhouse, the Young Vic is synonymous with inclusivity, accessibility and creativity. We create performances that catalyse debate and are priced accessibly for our audiences, giving 10% of tickets away to those who experience barriers to engaging with the arts. We are deeply rooted in our local communities of Lambeth and Southwark, through Taking Part, at the same time as being internationally recognised for productions made with the world’s finest performers and creative teams. We are also proud to develop the next generation of emerging talent through our Directors Program.

About the role

The Digital Systems Manager role is key in contributing to and managing progress against the Young Vic’s digital roadmap.  We strive to ensure everyone who engages with us, whether that be in person or online, has an accessible and personal experience that is inherently digital while maintaining an ‘analogue’ feel.  The impact of COVID-19 on our industry has forced us to re-think the criticality of our digitisation plans and work at pace to deliver in some areas that would have been less of a priority pre-COVID.

In order to achieve these goals, we work with a number of third parties and this role will be the key point of contact between our internal teams and our external technology suppliers, ensuring that projects are managed effectively and communication flows freely.  As such, this role requires strong relationship management skills in addition to project management.

We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills and stories to join us and influence and develop our working practice. We are particularly keen to hear from people of colour and candidates who self-identify as disabled. All candidates who self-identify as disabled who demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria will be invited for interview. The Young Vic is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.

Salary: £31,000 - £36,000 per annum dependent on experience.

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Apply by: 9am on Monday 8th March 2021

Interviews: First round on or around 12th & 15th March 2021
