The Young Vic is looking for a Stage Technician to join our Production department.


A registered charity and theatrical powerhouse, the Young Vic is synonymous with innovation, inclusivity, accessibility and creativity. We create performances that catalyse debate and are priced accessibly for our audiences, giving 10% of tickets away to those who experience barriers to engaging with the arts. We are deeply rooted in our local communities of Lambeth and Southwark, through Taking Part, at the same time as being internationally recognised for productions made with the world’s finest performers and creative teams. This year we expanded our access and reach by launching Best Seat in the House, a new livestreaming platform that has broadcast our productions to over 38 countries. We are also proud of our work developing the next generation of emerging talent through our Creators Program.


About the role

The Stage Technician, working alongside the Deputy Head of Stage, Head of Stage, and wider Production department, is responsible for the delivery and management of technical stage requirements for Young Vic productions and related projects. The successful candidate, whilst working primarily in the area of stage, will demonstrate an ability and willingness to work on occasions alongside colleagues in other areas within the team.

Salary: £26,280 per annum plus overtime

Contract: Fixed Term 18 Month contract, Full Time.
